Who We Are

Our history

In May 2010, Ruben Velatta of Italy successfully petitioned the GSCO board to establish a European Chapter. Following unanimous approval, he and his team began developing the bylaws and organizational structure.

The Grand Slam Club Ovis European Chapter assists its members in preparing all necessary documents for the Grand Slam, Ovis World Slam, and Capra World Slam, as well as Hunt Reports, and facilitates the publication of hunting reports in GSCO’s Slam Quest magazine, which is distributed quarterly to members’ homes.

Conservation

We are a community of hunters and conservationists committed to enhancing and preserving wild sheep and goat populations, as well as promoting wildlife conservation globally.

Promoting Ethical and Sustainable Hunting Practices

Promote the responsible and ethical hunting of wild mountain sheep and goats by advocating for the use of legally issued permits, tags, and licenses, ensuring sustainable wildlife management and conservation efforts.

Inform and educate

Use financial resources received from membership dues, donations, or fund-raising events to benefit, directly or indirectly, wild mountain sheep and goats by contributing these funds to/through established state, provincial, federal, or governmental game and wildlife agencies or other nonprofit wildlife conservation organizations.
